5K Run For Nature

Run For Nature - 5k Run & Hike | Was held on Sunday, June 10th at the Troy Farm in Troy, MI

We had a great turn out for our 1st Annual "Run For Nature" 5K fundraiser at the Troy Farm which raised $6,000 for the Stage Nature Center.  Over 240 runners and spectators came to the Troy Farm for this event.  Ethan Baker, Troy City Councilman and candidate for State Representative 41st District cut the ribbon to the new trail connecting the Troy Farm to the Stage Nature Center grounds.  The first finisher was Kurt Hoffman who was in the 40 - 49 age group.  The second finisher of the morning was Nathan Walters who was running in the 13-15 age group.  Many of the runners commented on the beauty of the trails and how pleasantly surprised they were by the trails and hills, making it a bit more challenging than they expected.  This made each runner all the more worthy of the wood carved finishers "medal" that was provided by Live Edge Detroit.

The race results are in!
